What is the Siemens 6FX2007-1AD13 cable?
An 8-metre handwheel connection cable for SINUMERIK control setups — Siemens order number 6FX2007-1AD13, 8m on the factory bag label, whose description lines read 连接系统 · mit Metallstecker (metal connector) · Handrad mit magn. Rastung (handwheel with magnetic detent) · 2-kan. Zustimmtaster, 3-stufig (2-channel, 3-stage enable switch) · mit Spiralleitung (coiled-cable design) — the cable that links a SINUMERIK handwheel with a magnetic-detent handwheel and 2-channel 3-stage enable to the control, in the original Siemens bag with EAC/CE marks, the QTY:1 label and 质量检验合格 (passed inspection). This piece is a new Chinese-made replacement (the connector casting itself is printed Made in China): one end carries the 17-pin metal circular connector, the other end exits through a black cable gland into colour-coded signal wires that terminate in small board-style plugs labelled X3 and X4. Recorded 25 November 2025 at about 2 kg, one piece. Nine photos plus the warehouse video below.

Ordering and routing notes
Handwheel cables are the quiet failure point of a setup station: they live in the drawer, get pulled across the machine table, and one broken enable conductor shows up as "handwheel dead" or, worse, as an enable fault that clears when you wiggle the cable. Before ordering, match three things to your dead cable. The connector: 17-pin metal shell on the control side, keyed so it only lands one way. The length: 8 metres of reach — the 1AD family comes in fixed lengths, and stretching a shorter cable across a big table is how conductors fatigue. The tail: this replacement ends in labelled board plugs (X3/X4) rather than bare pigtails, which suits the common SINUMERIK handwheel boxes that take the wheel signals and the two-channel 3-stage enable straight onto headers — check the white labels against your unit's terminal marks before you route it. One honest difference from the Siemens original: the factory design is a coiled cable (Spiralleitung) that absorbs table travel; this replacement is built straight, so leave service slack in the loop instead of tensioning it end to end.
