What is the 5M encoder cable for the Mitsubishi M64 system (OSA104 / OSE104 / HC202)?

This is a five-metre servo motor encoder cable built for Mitsubishi's M64 CNC system — the OSA104 / OSE104 / HC202 pairing that runs between an HC202-series servo motor and its drive. The cable ships coiled in a sealed bag as a new replacement with a one-year warranty, and the photo set shows its three fittings: a right-angled military-style plug with its screw-down mounting clamp (the motor-end fitting that bolts to the encoder cover), a high-density blade connector with lock-screw ears (the drive-side plug), and a straight round plug with a 26-socket face on a metal threaded shell. The heavy black jacket is wrapped and tied for the coil. It passed through the Koeed warehouse on 30 October 2025 (about 1 kg per the record); the seven photos and video below show it as received.

Fitting notes

Encoder cables fail by flexing at the plug, so the useful details are in the fittings: the angled motor plug with its clamp brackets bolts flat against the encoder cover so the cable strain lands on the bracket, not the solder joints, and the drive-side blade connector locks to the amplifier face with its two screws before the cable is dressed. Route the 5-metre run away from the motor power cable — encoder signals are low-level and the M64 will throw an alarm on any coupled noise — and leave the service loop loose at the drag-chain end. Because this is a replacement harness built to the OSA104/OSE104 pin-out, verify continuity pin-for-pin against the old cable before powering up; the photos let you check each plug shell and keyway against the originals before the machine goes down.
