E2VCABS600 Shielded Cable and Connector for EXV Valves: Complete Technical Guide
On this page
What is the Carel E2VCABS600?
The E2VCABS600 is Carel's six-metre connection cable for its E2V electronic expansion valves — the shielded lead that runs from the valve's stepper-motor plug back to the driver board on the controller. The valve end terminates in Carel's black rectangular motor plug with its captive fixing screw; the controller end presents the four colour-coded conductors — 1 green, 2 yellow, 3 brown, 4 white — stripped and tinned, with the braided shield separated for grounding at the panel side. The grey jacket carries the factory tag printed E2V CONNECTION with the wire map and the shield callout, so the terminations can be checked against the print without opening a datasheet. Five cables, new, 3-month warranty as recorded at intake. All 6 photos and 1 video below show these exact cables.

Why the EXV cable is a stocked spare
An electronic expansion valve is only as reliable as its wiring: the stepper motor in the valve head is driven by pulses from the controller, six metres away through a plant room full of contactors, VFDs and their switching noise. The braided shield on this cable exists for that reason — grounded at the panel end it keeps the motor pulses clean over the six-metre run, which is why the tag prints SHIELD as a termination instruction rather than leaving it to chance. The colour map on the tag matters just as much: phases and common on a stepper motor are order-sensitive, and swapping green and brown reverses the valve's counting direction — an E2V that drives shut when the controller asks for open. At six metres the cable reaches from a rooftop or ceiling void to the controller panel without splicing, and the plug end is the sealed factory connector, so the repair is: unplug the damaged cable at the valve, land the four colours and shield per the tag, done. Five factory cables are photographed here — a season's worth of EXV cable failures covered for one plant.
