Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is SKF's highest-temperature grease?
SKF LGHP 2 is rated to approximately 150°C continuous with short peaks to 180°C. For applications consistently above 150°C, KLÜBER offers bentonite-thickened (Kluberlub BE 71-501, to 200°C) and PFPE/PTFE (Barrierta L, to 260°C) greases that exceed SKF's maximum temperature capability. SKF does not currently offer bentonite or PFPE-based greases in their standard portfolio.
