What is the Omron E3T-SL11?

The E3T-SL11 is Omron's slim-profile photoelectric switch — an amplifier-built-in sensor in a body thin enough to mount where a standard cylindrical sensor has no room: alongside a conveyor guide, inside a printer frame, between stacking trays. The factory bag states the whole spec: TYPE E3T-SL11, PHOTOELECTRIC SWITCH, VOLTS 12 to 24 V DC, 2 m cable, LOT No. 18732, MADE IN JAPAN, CE and RoHS marks, with the Japanese instruction sheet inside. The three-conductor lead (brown, blue, black) is the DC three-wire convention — supply, 0 V, switched NPN output — and the small hardware set (mounting washers, bracket screws) ships in the bag. 99% condition in original packaging; the intake record books thirty units while the photo set shows the bagged stock, and both counts are stated as recorded. All 9 photos and 1 video below show these exact switches.

Why slim matters in packaging machines

Packaging and printing machines fill their frames with rollers, webs and folders, and the space left for a sensor is often a slot narrower than a finger. Omron built the E3T series for exactly those slots: the amplifier lives inside the thin body, the optics sit on the narrow face, and the mounting holes run through the flats so the switch bolts flush against the machine wall. The 12-24 V DC class covers every control panel from 12 V logic supplies to standard 24 V cabinets, and the three-wire NPN lead lands on the PLC input the same way every Omron three-wire sensor does — brown to +, blue to 0 V, black to the input — so replacements are colour-matched swaps, not rewiring projects. The 2-metre lead reaches the terminal strip in most machine frames without an extension. Japanese production, 99% condition, factory bagged with the instruction sheet: this is the grade of stock that goes straight onto a machine when a packaging line's registration sensors start failing, and the bagged quantity photographed here is a working bench inventory for exactly that maintenance cycle.

Bagged sets
The bagged sets: OMRON factory bags, each holding the slim sensor, its coiled 2 m lead, the Japanese instruction sheet and the mounting hardware — labels reading E3T-SL11, 12 to 24V DC, MADE IN JAPAN.
Bag label close
The bag label at full resolution: TYPE E3T-SL11, PHOTOELECTRIC SWITCH, VOLTS. 12 to 24V DC, QTY 1, 2m, LOT No. 18732, barcode 4 576482 024040 — CE, RoHS, MADE IN JAPAN — over the 取扱説明書 (instruction sheet).
Sensor body E3T
The sensor body in its bag: the slim black housing with the E3T- moulding across the face and the optics at the end — held between fingers to show the profile.
Sensor second face
The second face: the omron print over the red-filtered optics window — the light path of the slim switch.
Held in hand
Held to the camera: the full slim body, E3T- marking, mounting ears and the cable exit — the depth that fits the narrow slot.
Bags stacked
The stock as boxed: bags stacked on foam, rubber-banded, every label uniform — the shelf batch as received.
Rows of bags
The bags laid out in rows: identical labels across the batch — a working inventory photographed before packing.
Kit contents
One bag opened: the sensor, its coiled three-conductor lead, the mounting washers and the instruction sheet — the complete factory kit.
Lead colours
The lead colours in close-up: brown, blue and black stripped at the ends — the standard DC three-wire hookup — over the Japanese caution sheet.
