Where the V581 fits
The V581 platform is AVENTICS's valve-system building block: individual 5/2 (and 5/3) valves that snap onto a common manifold base, so a machine's valve set is serviced one station at a time instead of swapping a whole valve terminal. This unit is the 5/2 single-solenoid version — energize and the valve holds its switched position on pilot air, de-energize and the spring returns it, which is the fail-safe behaviour clamp and extend circuits are built around. Two things worth checking when you order. First, the type suffix: V581-5/2SR-I2-1CNA-AA-X-C-T0 encodes the coil, sealing and port options, and a V581 with a different suffix will bolt onto the same base but may not match your coil voltage or manual-override furniture. Second, the end module in the bag (5812080000, marked C↓S) is the supply-side shut-off piece of the set — it mounts at the end of the valve and isolates the station for servicing, so keep it with the valve rather than treating it as packing scrap. Both labels are visible in the photos, and the declaration sheet is the AVENTICS conformity document for the set.
