What is the Siemens 3RT1015-1AK61 contactor?

The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT1015-1AK61 power contactor — size S00, three poles plus one built-in NO auxiliary contact, with an AC 110 V 50 Hz / 120 V 60 Hz coil printed right on the face between A1 and A2. Ratings from the side label: AC-3 2.2 kW / 3 kW / 4 kW at 230 / 400 / 690 V (7 A / 7 A / 4 A), AC-15 at 6/3/1 A, UL horsepowers to 5 HP at 575 V, motors break-all-lines 16 A 600 V AC, short-circuit protection 5 kA 600 V max with a Class RK5 30 A fuse, auxiliary contacts A600/P600. Terminal layout: 1L1 / 3L2 / 5L3 line side, 2T1 / 4T2 / 6T3 load side, 13/14 NO auxiliary, A1/A2 coil. Made in Germany, production code G/120504 (April 2005 — early SIRIUS production, hence the classic 35 × 50 mm body), instruction reference 3ZX1012-0RH11-1AA1, bar code 40112091272705. Four pieces, refurbished to like-new grade (翻新可充新), in their original Siemens boxes, recorded 17–20 December 2025 at about 0.5 kg, one-year warranty. Note for the record: one frame in the source camera roll shows an unrelated PCIe card back — we have excluded it from the photos below, since it is not part of this listing. Fourteen photos plus the warehouse video.

Buying the AK61 honestly

Two things decide whether this exact contactor is the one for your panel. First, the coil: AK61 means AC 110/120 V, and the face prints it plainly — a 24 V DC control circuit needs the BB4x family instead (our shop lists the 3RT1015-1BB42 DC version), and forcing an AC coil onto a DC supply burns it in minutes. Second, the vintage: G/120504 marks this batch as April 2005 production — early SIRIUS, the build with the 35 × 50 mm screw footprint and the taller S00 body. It swaps straight into panels specced for that era, and mechanically the contact set is refurbished to like-new grade, so it is sold and priced as reconditioned stock, not factory-sealed new. On the bench it behaves as the label says: 3 kW at 400 V AC-3 is the workhorse rating for small motors up to about 4 kW, the built-in 13/14 NO gives your PLC a running feedback without an add-on block, and the 16 A / 5 kA coordination numbers tell you the upstream fuse class to keep the short-circuit rating honest. Fit it on the 35 mm rail or screw it down on the 35 × 50 pattern, land 75 °C copper only, and the refurbishment story ends where it should — in a panel that runs like the original.
