Omron G3B-205S Solid State Relay: Comprehensive Technical Guide for Industrial Automation
On this page
What is the Omron G3B-205S solid state relay?
The G3B-205S is Omron's plug-in solid state relay — a 5 A / 250 V AC output SSR on a round 8-pin plug that seats into the G3B socket base, controlled from a 4–30 V DC input. The base of every unit carries the full marking: OMRON G3B-205S SOLID STATE RELAY, LOAD: 5A 250 VAC, INPUT: 4~30 VDC, MADE IN JAPAN, with the date codes 04X5E, 0126E, 1536E and 2616E across the lot. This record is a lot of twelve reconditioned units graded to recharge-new (翻新可以充新), one-year warranty as recorded, photographed April 2025 at intake. All ten photos and the inspection video show these exact relays.

Why the plug-in SSR format survives
The G3B format separates the two things that age differently in a heater-control panel: the relay and its heatsink socket. The SSR module carries the triac and the control circuit; the G3B base carries the heatsink and the load wiring. When a relay fails, it unplugs — no rewiring, no heatsink work — and a spare drops in. The 4–30 V DC input accepts any PLC transistor output directly, and the 5 A / 250 V AC output covers a band heater, a solenoid or a small blower per channel. The finned aluminium case is the module's own heat path into the socket, and the date codes across this lot span several production waves — all the same 205S spec, bought as a bench and spares set.
The twelve units in this record are reconditioned to the recharge-new grade the intake books: tested, cleaned, and photographed from every angle — the plugs bright, the fins straight, and the base markings legible unit by unit. For a heater panel whose G3B sockets are still good, this is the refill lot that keeps the line running.
