Rotary Encoders & Pulse Coders

Rotary encoders and pulse coders report shaft movement to a controller or drive. The collection includes general machine encoders and motor-feedback components, which may use different electrical interfaces.

For an incremental encoder, pulses per revolution affect how movement is measured. For servo feedback, the drive must also support the encoder system. Retain the complete encoder model, shaft or coupling dimensions and cable connection; an identical-looking body can conceal a different output.
