What is this 2711P-T15C22D9P-B part, exactly?

The photos settle it: this listing ships the resistive touch screen glass (digitizer) for the Allen-Bradley PanelView Plus 7 Performance 15-inch terminal, model 2711P-T15C22D9P-B — not the terminal itself. One brand-new glass panel: a clear resistive touch layer with the signature maze of silver ITO electrode traces screen-printed around the border, a glued sealing frame on four sides, and a long orange FPC tail heat-bonded at the edge, printed "125" and ending in the black connector head that plugs into the terminal's touch controller. When a PanelView 1500 stops responding to touch or the surface is scratched through, this glass is the part that brings it back for a fraction of a terminal replacement. Recorded new on 28 November 2025 at about 1 kg, one piece. All ten photos below plus the warehouse video show the single panel from both faces.

How the swap goes

Digitizer replacement on a PanelView Plus 1500 is a bench job, and the photos map the three steps. First, the old glass comes out with the bezel: the panel's sealing frame is what you see from the front, and it releases with the display module face-down once the case is open. Second, the LCD surface underneath gets cleaned — one trapped crumb between glass and display reads as a permanent dead pixel through the new touch layer, so this is the step worth doing twice. Third, the new glass drops into the bezel recess (the frame in the photos is pre-lined for that) and the FPC tail folds back to its socket; the black connector head orients one way only, and it seats with a light press, not force. Power up and check the corners before closing the case — a corner that maps wrong means the glass is seated a millimetre off, and it is a ten-second fix at that stage. Because this is a resistive panel, calibration from the terminal's menu finishes the job; no drivers, no firmware, no product revision concerns between glass and terminal.

Panel rear with FPC tail
The panel from the rear: sealing frame on all four sides and the orange FPC tail taped flat across the face as shipped.
FPC connector head
The tail end: gold-finger flat cable into the black connector head — this is the plug that seats into the terminal's touch controller.
Border traces close-up
The resistive tell-tale: silver ITO electrode traces (the maze pattern) screen-printed around the border, with the FPC heat-bond at the edge.
Panel surface reflection
Surface at an angle: the touch layer is clean and unscratched, frame liner untouched.
FPC bond at edge
The FPC bond point at the panel edge — factory heat-pressed, no lifting.
FPC tail full length
The full tail length, printed "125" along the cable — long enough to route to the controller socket with slack.
Corner construction
Corner construction: glass, frame and adhesive layer in section at the corner.
Panel front
The front face as received: clear, flat, no scratches — the viewing window of the repaired terminal.
Panel with tail centered
Panel with the tail centered — the orientation photo to compare against your terminal before ordering.
125 print close-up
The "125" print at reading distance on the tail, against the border traces — the reference you can check against the old panel's tail before the swap.

The same digitizer is listed in our shop as the touch screen digitizer for 2711P-T15C22D9P-B product page; a glass + protective film set covers the same terminal, and complete terminals are on the 2711P-T15C22D9P terminal page.
