Siemens 3SB1400-0A Push Button Contact Block: Complete Technical Guide

Pre-shipment Inspection Record: This document details the visual and technical inspection of the Siemens 3SB1400-0A Push Button Contact Block: Complete Technical Guide. All product photos and testing videos below are original materials captured first-hand by the Koeed technical team in our warehouse prior to dispatch.

What this delivery is: ten Siemens 3SB14 00-0A contact blocks — the snap-on contact units that sit behind a pushbutton or indicator head — brand new, made in Germany, one-year warranty, received 2026-02-02. Each block is the brown thermoplastic body Siemens uses across the 3SB1 line: one normally-closed and one normally-open contact in a single clip-on unit, screw terminals numbered 1-2 for the NC and 3-4 for the NO, and the full rating block moulded into the back so an electrician can read what they are holding without a datasheet.

What the rating block says

The moulded marking on each block reads: 3SB14 00-0A, SIEMENS, MADE IN GERMANY, CE. The electricals: Ue 660V AC rated insulation voltage, AC-12 duty 10 A, AC-15 duty 6 A at 230 V — that is the honest current story behind the record's short "300V, 10A" note: 10 A is the AC-12 (resistive) figure, and the contact is marked for use above 300 V under UL, listed 165 degrees C industrial control equipment, A600 P600 pilot duty, same polarity, to VDE 0660 and IEC 947-5-1. The little wiring diagram beside the ratings shows the two contact paths — 2 to 1 and 4 to 3 — with the changeover arrow.

How it is used

Contact blocks like this are the working half of every operator station: the coloured head you press is just the mechanism — the 3SB14 00-0A is what actually opens and closes the circuit. The block slides onto the button holder from the back until it clips, the moving pin rides on the head's actuator, and the two screw terminals land the panel wiring. Having one NC and one NO in the same unit is the common starter-panel combination: the NC leg breaks a seal-in or interlock circuit while the NO leg makes the start command, from a single block behind a single head. Rated 660 V insulation with an AC-15 duty figure for inductive electromagnetic loads, it covers everything from a 24 V PLC input to a 230 V contactor coil without derating arithmetic. Ten identical blocks is a maintenance-stock quantity — one panel rebuild usually consumes them in pairs.

Ten contact blocks, label side
All ten blocks laid out label-side up — the full rating block legible on every unit: 1NC+1NO, Ue 660V, AC-12 10A, AC-15 6A/230V, 3SB14 00-0A, SIEMENS, MADE IN GERMANY.
Four blocks close-up
Four blocks in close-up: UL and CSA marks, LISTED 165C IND. CONT. EQ. ABOVE 300V, A600 P600, SAME POL., the 2-1 / 4-3 wiring diagram, VDE 0660 and IEC 947-5-1.
Terminal markings
The terminal face of one block: terminals 2 and 1 marked NC, 4 and 3 marked NO, the direction arrows, and the two slotted screw terminals.
Block rear and clip
Rear and side of the blocks — the black actuator pin in the centre, the mounting clip feet, and the two screw-terminal apertures.
Single block label
One block label in full: the wiring diagram, SAME POL., 1NC+1NO, ratings, standards and the Siemens Germany print, unmarked and new.
Label second angle
The same label from a second angle — every line of the rating block readable.
Three blocks rear view
Three blocks from the plain side — the brown housing, the black actuator pins, the clip feet at the corners.
Ten blocks front row
All ten front-on, actuator pins up — the batch as received, identical and untouched.
