IEC & NEMA Motor Control Contactors

Contactors switch power to a load using an electrically operated coil. IEC and NEMA ratings are expressed differently, so a frame size or current figure needs to be interpreted for the intended duty.

For an existing motor circuit, record the contactor code and coil voltage before removal. The overload relay and auxiliary blocks may be separate components that must fit the replacement. See overload relays and auxiliary contacts for those parts.
