Wiring and mounting
Thread the M8 barrel into the bracket and lock with either of the two supplied nuts, keeping the 2 mm face clear of surrounding metal if a flush fit is intended (the EG08 barrel is designed for embeddable mounting). Wire brown to +24 V, blue to 0 V, black to the input channel; the NPN output sinks current when a target enters the 2 mm range. Because the rated distance assumes a standard steel target, derate for aluminium or stainless in practice, roughly to half or less on the first pass, and verify with the actual part.
