Building on the AIMB-210

This is the board for reviving an AIMB-210-based machine or building a compact legacy controller: add a Socket M Core 2 Duo/Celeron M and a DDR2 SODIMM, and the rest is on the board — display, LAN, serial, USB, storage. The dual-VGA rear I/O is the AIMB-210's signature for dual-screen HMI panels, and the four serial ports (two on the bracket, two as headers) are why machine integrators kept ordering it long after consumer boards dropped them. The CompactFlash socket under its shield takes an IDE-mode CF card as the boot device — a common fit for this generation. Check the QC label date (2012-11-28) against your BIOS expectations, fit fresh thermal compound under the CPU heatsink, and note that the photos show the board without a CPU, as received.
