What is the KAESER 6.4334.1/G1 oil separator cartridge?

The 6.4334.1/G1 is KAESER's spin-on oil separator cartridge for their screw air compressors — the canister that strips oil mist out of the compressed air stream before the air leaves the package. The intake in the photos covers three pieces, each in its own factory carton printed Original Ersatzteil / Genuine Spare Parts, with the cartridge inside still in its plastic wrap. Each can carries the black KAESER label: Oil separator cartridge 6.4334.1/G1, Kaeser Genuine Part, Made in Italy, and a service pressure limit of Betriebsueberdruck Max 22 bar, with four-step fitting instructions printed in English and French on the can. The three cartridges were received at the Koeed warehouse on 18 November 2025 (about 1 kg on the record); the eleven photos below and one inspection video show them as received.

Fitting notes

The four steps printed on the can are the whole procedure: oil the gasket lightly, spin the cartridge on and tighten by hand, refill the oil and run the unit, then check for leaks and re-tighten if needed. Two details are worth adding. First, the 22 bar mark on the label is the maximum operating overpressure — the separator shell is a pressure part, so never run the stage above it. Second, before spinning the new cartridge in, glance at the threads and the gasket seat on the manifold; the base of this cartridge carries a moulded gasket and a central threaded nipple, and anything cross-cut into the manifold thread will show up as an oil carry-over later. These three cartridges are factory original with the wrap still on — fit them one per service interval and keep the spares in their cartons until then.
