DJM-800 Faceplate: Professional Replacement Panel for Industrial PLC Control Systems
On this page
What is the DJM-800 faceplate?
Note on the listing title: the queue titles this article a replacement panel for "Industrial PLC Control Systems" — the part is a music-instrument panel, not a PLC one. The DJM-800 is Pioneer's professional DJ mixer, and this is its front faceplate: the printed aluminium panel that carries the entire control legend of the mixer — the Pioneer logo, "PROFESSIONAL MIXER DJM-800", the four channel strips with their TRIM knobs and three-band EQ scales, the COLOR controls, the channel and crossfader slots, the BEAT EFFECTS selector with its thirteen effect names, and the MASTER, BOOTH and headphones blocks. When a working DJM-800 suffers a scratched, dented or water-marked fascia, this panel restores the face without touching the electronics beneath. The panel arrives with its protective film on. All 6 photos and 1 video below show this exact faceplate.

What the faceplate carries, and why it fails
The DJM-800's faceplate is the whole user interface in printed form — every knob position, every scale, every switch legend lives on this one sheet of aluminium, and the electronics behind it only matter to the DJ through what this panel communicates. That is also why the panel is the part that shows age first: club environments drink, smoke and scuff, the printed legends around the most-used faders wear to grey, and a mixer that still sounds perfect becomes unsellable with a ruined face. The DJM-800 itself holds a specific place in Pioneer's line — the mid-2000s four-channel digital mixer whose beat-effects engine (the thirteen effects printed around the selector: flanger through reverb roll) and MIDI output made it the bridge between vinyl-era booths and controller-era sets — which is exactly why its panels stay in demand: thousands of working units, one consumable face. Fitting is a service procedure, not a repair: remove the fader and rotary knobs, undo the panel screws, transfer the parts, and the legends underneath align with the components because the printing is cut to the same jig as the mixer. The protective film on this example is the sign to look for when comparing panels: factory parts ship filmed, so the print arrives as the laser left it.
