CP-2FK(b)J Conductive Plastic Angle Sensor: Complete Technical Guide

Pre-shipment Inspection Record: This document details the visual and technical inspection of the CP-2FK(b)J Conductive Plastic Angle Sensor: Complete Technical Guide. All product photos and testing videos below are original materials captured first-hand by the Koeed technical team in our warehouse prior to dispatch.

What is the Midori CP-2FK(b)J?

The CP-2FK(b)J is a Midori Precisions conductive-plastic angle sensor — a precision potentiometer whose output voltage tracks shaft rotation — marked RES 10K on its green factory label, meaning a 10 kΩ resistive track, with unit serial AEB6462. It is a compact black cylindrical body with a stainless D-shaft out the front and three gold pins (numbered 1, 2, 3) out the back; each unit arrives in a sealed bag with its three mounting clamps for face-mounting on a bracket. The record covers 2 units. All 5 photos and 1 video below show these exact units.

Why conductive plastic instead of wire

An angle sensor of this type is the analogue position pick on machines that need to know a lever, valve or linkage angle to a fine fraction: feed the ends of the 10 kΩ track with a reference voltage and the wiper — turned by the D-shaft — taps off a voltage proportional to angle. The conductive-plastic track is the point of the design: unlike a wire-wound element it is stepless, so the output has no staircase as the wiper crosses turns, and it wears far slower under the wiper's light pressure, which is why Midori rates these for the millions of cycles a joystick, pedal or antenna positioner delivers. The three clamps in each bag are the servo-mount style — they snap over the cylindrical body and screw to a bracket, holding the sensor while leaving the shaft free. Wiring is the pin trio on the back: reference across pins 1 and 3, angle signal off pin 2, into whatever ADC or controller reads it. KOEED lists this sensor directly — the CP-2FK(b)J product page carries the same part — alongside the larger Midori CPP-45 angle sensor.
