What this delivery is: one ebm-papst D2E133-AM47-01 double-inlet forward-curve centrifugal blower — the sheet-metal scroll unit that cools inverter cabinets and air-handling sections — brand new, received 2026-02-10, 4–5 kg per the record lines, one-year warranty, Made in Germany, production week 25/23. The ratings from the fan's own labels: 230 V AC, 50/60 Hz, dual-speed 1500/1800 min⁻¹, 190/200 W, 0.84/0.88 A, 3 µF/450 VDB running capacitor, IP44, with the thermal contact (TOP) fitted. The wiring legend is printed in German, English and Chinese on the housing: L = blue, PE = green/yellow, N = black, Z = brown — the brown tap is the second speed selection.

Reading the two nameplates

This blower carries two labels, and both matter. The ebm-papst rating plate names the assembly — D2E133-AM47-01, Made in Germany, 25/23 — with the electrical ratings and the CE/EAC marks. The Chinese CCC label beside it names the motor inside: 电容运转异步电动机 (capacitor-run asynchronous motor), type M2E068-DF, 58/58 W shaft power, 2-pole, class F insulation marking, IP44, with the capacitor value and the ebm-papst Mulfingen address — and the trilingual wiring diagram repeated below. So the honest structure is: D2E133-AM47-01 is the complete blower assembly (motor plus double-inlet scroll), and the M2E068-DF is the motor that drives it. One insulation note stated as printed: the CCC label marks class F, the ebm rating plate reads Ins.Cl.B with TOP — both markings appear on the unit and we report both rather than pick one.

Why the dual-speed tap matters

The Z lead is this blower's second gear: wire the supply to Z and the motor runs the 1800 min⁻¹ / 200 W high-speed curve; leave it on N and it runs the quiet 1500 min⁻¹ / 190 W curve. That is how inverter and AHU builders give one blower two duties — normal cooling on low, a thermostat- or controller-switched boost on high — without a variable-speed drive. When replacing, the four leads make the swap self-documenting: match the legend on the new housing to the old wiring before energising, because swapping N and Z runs the blower on the wrong speed and the symptom is an air-flow alarm that looks like a blocked filter. The forward-curve wheel and double inlet are the airflow format for cabinet cooling: high volume at modest pressure, moving heat out of a drive section quietly — which is exactly the duty this 25/23-built unit left the Mulfingen line for.
