High-Efficiency EMI Filter: Essential Protection for PLC Industrial Automation Systems
On this page
What this delivery is: three bare-board EMI filtering modules — built as a non-standard design by a Shenzhen maker (the Kawei label) and sold as a "DC component power purifier" — brand new, three pieces to the order, received stock dated 2025-11-21. The full Chinese name on each unit's label reads 消直高频EMI滤波器EMI高频滤波模块直流分量电源净化器 — roughly, a high-frequency EMI filter module that also removes the DC component from the supply — with the rated frequency band printed as 0–1.288 KHZ. Each board ships in its own bag with a factory QC label (合格证, inspector 05, dated 2025-07-04) and the serial barcode 012355.
Reading the module
This is not a cased DIN-rail filter — it is the raw filter stage as a long single board, meant to be mounted on standoffs inside the equipment it protects. The component chain visible on the board matches the two jobs its name claims: a large Nichicon electrolytic capacitor bank (400 V-class cans) with a diode string on the heatsinked end deals with the DC-side conditioning, while film capacitors, the blue-block capacitor sections, finned copper-bodied power resistors and disc varistors form the high-frequency attenuation path. The board is silk-screened IN at the line input, carries four mounting holes with standoffs, and its power components sit against a black finned aluminium heatsink along the top edge — this is a module that expects forced or at least free convection in the cabinet. The label prints 外观:非标设计 (appearance: non-standard design), which is the maker saying plainly that the board follows no industry outline: buyers should size the mounting from the board itself, not from a catalogue footprint.

Use notes
A "DC component purifier" addresses a real fault: mains supplies that carry a DC offset — from half-wave loads, asymmetric rectifiers or aged equipment — magnetise transformer cores and hum, trip RCDs, and heat conventional filter chokes. This module's electrolytic-fronted, diode-conditioned input stage is built for exactly that input, with the film and varistor stages cleaning the high-frequency junk behind it. Integrate it where the manual would put a line filter — between the supply entry and the load — bolted through its standoffs to a grounded plate, keeping the IN and OUT wiring separated so the filtered and unfiltered runs do not couple past the board. Rated band 0–1.288 KHZ is the maker's own figure for the DC-blocking function; treat the high-frequency insertion loss as unverified unless you can bench-measure it, which is the honest limit of any non-standard filter without a datasheet.
