NMB-MAT 5915PC-23T-B30-A00 Industrial Cooling Fan: Complete Technical Guide for PLC Automation Systems

What is the NMB-MAT 5915PC-23T-B30 fan?
The NMB-MAT 5915PC-23T-B30 AC axial cooling fan — the 119 mm metal-frame fan in NMB's classic round-throat, octagonal-corner format, with a cast-metal five-blade rotor instead of the usual plastic. The hub label carries the full rating: NMB-MAT · MODEL 5915PC-23T-B30 · 230V~AC 50/60 Hz · 1 PHASE · 35/35W 屋内用 (indoor use) · THERMALLY PROTECTED · Minebea-Matsushita Motor Corporation · A00 · MADE IN CHINA, certified CCC(S), VDE, PS-E, JET (LR65829), SA and UR. The thermally-protected winding is the practical headline: if the fan jams or the airflow is blocked, the internal protector opens rather than letting the motor cook. It connects through two leads clipped along the frame, with an earthing screw point on the corner. New stock recorded 26 December 2025 at about 1 kg as recorded, two pieces on this intake line. Ten photos plus the warehouse video below.

The metal rotor, and mounting it right
Two features set the 5915PC-23T-B30 apart from the plastic fans that surround it on a spares shelf. The cast-metal rotor survives environments plastic blades do not — hot airflow off heatsinks, oily air near transformer bays, cabinets where a plastic fan goes brittle long before its bearing does. And the thermally protected winding means a stalled rotor ends in an open protector rather than a burnt smell: the fan can be reset by power-cycling once the jam is cleared, which on a 230 V cabinet fan is the difference between a service call and a scrap part. Mounting follows the octagonal-corner pattern — four fasteners on the diagonal flats, airflow direction set by which face you expose (the label side is the exhaust on this model; the arrows moulded on the frame resolve any doubt). Wire the two leads to line and neutral through your cabinet's fan circuit, land the frame earth on the protective earth, and keep the label side accessible — it is the cooling system's ID card when the next technician wants to match the model. The pieces photographed here are new stock with crisp labels and unrusted castings.
