Oh man, I've been there! One time we had a critical conveyor belt motor bearing fail on a Friday afternoon - the official replacement was 6-8 weeks out from Germany. Production was about to shut down for the whole weekend shift. I ended up scavenging parts from an old decommissioned machine in the warehouse: took a similar-sized bearing from a different motor, machined a custom spacer from a scrap aluminum rod in the maintenance shop, and used high-temp epoxy to secure everything. The real MacGyver moment was using a heavy-duty zip-tie as a temporary belt tensioner until we could get the proper part. It looked janky as hell, but it ran for 3 weeks straight without a hiccup! What about you - ever had to get creative like that?
