PLC Processors & Controller Parts

A PLC processor runs the control program; I/O modules connect that program to field signals. To find a processor, start with the installed platform: Siemens S7-1200, Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, MicroLogix 1400 or PLC-5.

A replacement processor may still need the machine program and configuration loaded before the machine can run. Keep the project backup and software-version information with the spare-parts record. For a failed input or output channel, begin with I/O modules instead.
