Danfoss BF230CS Solenoid Coil: High-Performance PLC Automation Component for Industrial Control Systems

What this delivery is: four Danfoss BF 230CS solenoid valve coils, new in the factory box, received 2026-02-06, 0.5 kg for the lot, one-year warranty. Each box carries the white Danfoss spec label — solenoid coil, spare part number 018F6282 — and the coil itself confirms the pairing in moulded text on its face: Type BF230CS, Spare Part no. 018F6282. The two numbers are the same part: BF230CS is the coil type, 018F6282 is the order code. Rating is 220/230 V, drawing 16 W / 31 VA at 50 Hz and 14 W / 24 VA at 60 Hz, with the moulded print also stating an ambient window of −40 to +50 °C and IP67 on the box label.

What you get per box

The coil is the familiar Danfoss clip-on body: a blue moulded shell with the cylindrical armature bore through the middle, a moulded cable exit with strain relief, and the rating block moulded into the flat face. Rather than DIN terminals, this version carries a 1.00 m grey round cable ending in three stripped leads — brown line, blue neutral, green-yellow earth — and the cable itself is CCC-certified, printed CCC A001630 along its length. Why the CS suffix matters

Danfoss coil type codes read like a spec sheet: BF is the clip-on coil family, 230 is the voltage class, and the trailing letters name the connection — CS means the 1-metre cable version, where a DIN-spade coil would be a different suffix and a different part number. The cable variant earns its keep on compressors and outdoor valve stations where a DIN plug would collect moisture; the pre-moulded gland and IP67 shell arrive sealed, so the fitter only strips the three leads into the panel. Four coils is a stock decision, not a job lot: refrigeration racks run these on every suction and liquid-line solenoid, and a failed coil in summer takes a whole case of product with it if the spare shelf is empty.
