Fiber Optic Cables & Network Connections

Fiber patch cords differ by fiber type, connector, polish, strand count and length. Single-mode and multimode cables need to suit the optics at both ends; an LC-to-LC label only describes the connector format.

For a field run, also establish whether the cable needs outdoor protection or armor. A four-strand cable and a duplex patch cord are different constructions. Browse optical transceivers if the link-end modules are also required.
