What is the Turck BI10-M30-AZ3X/S90?
The BI10-M30-AZ3X/S90 (Ident-No. 4316403) is a Turck inductive proximity sensor in the M30 barrel format with one notable trait: it is a two-wire AC/DC unit, not a three-wire DC switch. The bag print gives the full electrical set — 20...250 VAC at 3...400 mA or 10...300 VDC at 3...300 mA — with a 10 mm rated sensing distance, brown and blue load leads plus a green-yellow ground, and the yellow sensing face on a fully threaded nickel-plated M30 barrel. The factory bag is printed Made in Germany by Hans Turck, Mülheim an der Ruhr; the intake record books this lot as a China-made replacement build, so buyers needing factory-German stock should confirm before ordering. The record covers 5 sensors, new in sealed Turck bags, each with two lock nuts. All 7 photos and 1 video below show these exact units.

Why a two-wire AC/DC sensor earns its keep
Most inductive sensors are three-wire DC devices that need a PNP or NPN input card. This one is different: it wires in series with the load — brown and blue are the only power/switching pair, green-yellow is earth — and it runs on anything from 20 V AC to 250 V AC or 10 to 300 V DC. That range is why the AZ3X keeps turning up on older machinery: it drops straight into a 110 or 220 V AC control circuit and switches a contactor coil or relay directly, no power supply and no transistor input card in between. The trade is the small leakage and voltage drop a two-wire unit carries, which the "Class II connection required" note and the load-current windows (3...400 mA) on the label account for. Mechanically it is a straightforward M30: full thread for through-hole mounting, two nuts to lock the 10 mm sensing face at depth. Turck's inductive M30 records on KOEED include the NPN-style BI10-M30-AP6X-H1141 for comparison. This model's product page carries the same part.
