PLC I/O connects sensors and actuators to a control system. Digital modules handle on/off signals; analog modules handle measured values such as current or voltage. A bus coupler connects a group of modules to the control network.
Start with the I/O platform already fitted: POINT I/O 1734, SLC 500 1746, PLC-5 1771, Beckhoff EL or B&R X20. Modules with the same channel count can require different bases, wiring and signal types.
