Why the wireless panel earns its keep
An ordinary drive panel dies with the drive it is parked on: to tune a second drive you walk over, pull the panel, walk back. The ACS-AP-W removes that trip — pair it to any panel-mounted drive in range over Bluetooth and the same screen, the same assistant menus and the same parameter edits work from where you are standing. This is why plants running a line of ACS580-class drives standardise on it: one panel becomes the roaming commissioning tool for the whole room, and the RJ45 cradle connection on the back is simply the dock it returns to. The rear twist cap opens the battery compartment so the panel survives being undocked; the USB port under the bottom cover handles firmware and file transfer; and the SW v5.95 firmware on this batch is the assistant-panel line's menu set. One caution when matching stock to a drive: the -W panel is the Bluetooth variant — a plain ACS-AP panel looks near-identical but has no radio and no battery compartment, and the rear label settles the question.
