Fuji Electric FMC-0ASZ42 AC Magnetic Contactor: Complete Technical Guide for Industrial Automation

What is the Fuji Electric FMC-0ASZ42?
The FMC-0ASZ42 is a Fuji Electric auxiliary relay — the label says it directly: Aux.Relay, FUJI ELECTRIC, with the contact layout 2a2b (two form-A normally-open and two form-B normally-closed contacts) on terminals 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 13-14 and A-B, and a coil rated 100/100-110 V AC at 50/60 Hz, built to the JEM and IEC standards with F03165553q as the trace code and Fuji Electric Co., Ltd, Japan as the maker. The body is the compact plug-in cube: a black moulded shell with two rows of PCB/plug-in pins, a metal retaining latch on the side, and the full rating label on the face. It is the auxiliary-relay cartridge in Fuji's contactor ecosystem — an independent small relay in the SC-family moulding that adds 2 NO + 2 NC on a 100/110 V control circuit. This record covers two factory-new units, made in Japan, intake recorded 22 January 2026, record weight 0.5 kg, with a two-month warranty line per the record. Nine photos and an inspection video cover both units, the terminal numbering and the labels.

Why the aux relay still earns a socket
Control panels run out of contacts before they run out of anything else: a contactor's own auxiliary block is committed to the seal-in circuit, and the interlocks, indication lamps and PLC inputs still need their own dry contacts. The FMC-0ASZ42 is Fuji's answer in cartridge form — a self-contained relay with its own 100/110 V coil and four contacts (two NO, two NC) that plugs onto its base with the side latch holding it home. Because the 2a2b configuration puts both contact types in one body, one cartridge covers the paired logic every starter needs: a NO to seal in, an NC to break the opposite direction's coil, in reversing and two-wire schemes alike. The JEM/IEC marking on the label is the panel-shop shorthand for the contact ratings and test regime the Japanese machine-building standard expects.
The two units here are one build — same label layout, same F03165553q trace code, the pins straight and the latches crisp — photographed from the front, the pin rows and the numbered terminal face. For a maintenance store serving Fuji SC-era starters, a matched pair is the right stock: one live spare and one for the drawer, on the same Japanese production lot.
