HP VR 1 Meter Cable: The Essential Connectivity Solution for Industrial VR Applications
On this page
What this delivery is: six HP Reverb Virtual Reality Headset G2 1-metre cables — the original HP spare (HP P/N M05196-002, SPS P/N M52189-001) — brand new in their sealed HP service bags, six pieces, received stock dated 2025-12-05. Everything on the packaging and the cable itself agrees: the bag label reads HP Reverb Virtual Reality Headset G2 1M cable over the two part numbers, and the cable's own tag carries the same SPS number with Rev.:A — matching the "A version" note in the delivery record — plus the unit serial (8CJ311B0G7 on the one shown).
Reading the cable
This is the G2 headset's short connection cable in HP service packaging: a single moulded plug on one end that seats the headset side, a round junction block mid-run where the three branches merge, and three male plugs at the far end — USB-A, mini-DisplayPort and USB-C as photographed. The run is roughly one metre end to end, which is the length this M05196-002 part covers: short enough to route neatly from a head-mounted display to a belt clip or breakout point, long enough to reach the PC-side connections without slack. Each cable ships in its own HP-branded static bag with the SPS label; the six bags arrived boxed together, ties still holding each cable coiled.

Use notes
For a G2 owner this is the fix for the most common headset failure: the short cable takes all the yank and twist of daily use, and a replacement restores a headset whose display and tracking are otherwise fine. Match it by the moulded plug shape before ordering — the headset end is a keyed connector only this cable family carries, and the branch end's three plugs (USB-A, mini-DP, USB-C) must match the ports your setup presents. Route the junction block where it cannot swing free; the branches take their stress at the block, and a cable tied so the block floats lasts noticeably longer than one that lets the plugs carry their own weight. Six units is a fleet-size spares kit or a repair-shop batch — all six from the same Rev.:A run, so behaviour across machines stays consistent.
