What the HD-235A controls

The HD-235A is a magnetic chuck controller for grinding machines. Controllers in this family take the shop's AC supply, rectify it to DC, and feed that DC to an electromagnetic chuck so the table can grip a workpiece under the wheel. The front panel sets holding force and runs the demagnetize cycle when the job comes off the table.

Grip loss on a grinder is a safety event. A part that lets go mid-pass can eject at wheel speed, so treat a dead or weak controller as a stop-work fault. Installation, fuse checks, and demag adjustments belong to qualified personnel who know the machine's interlocks and your site's lockout rules.
