1. The PV display is flashing "S.ERR" or "OPEN". What does this mean?
This is a Sensor Error. The controller cannot detect the input signal. Check if the thermocouple or RTD wire is disconnected, broken, or wired with reversed polarity. Also, ensure the input type configuration in the setup menu matches the physical sensor connected (e.g., setting the controller to Pt100 when a Type K thermocouple is wired will cause an error).

2. The temperature constantly overshoots the Set Value (SV) by several degrees before cooling down.
This indicates that the PID parameters are too aggressive. Run the Auto-Tune (AT) feature from a cold start to let the controller learn the system's thermal inertia. If manual tuning is required, try increasing the Derivative time ($D$) slightly to brake the heating earlier, or widen the Proportional Band ($P$).

3. The internal relay clicks constantly and rapidly. Will this damage the controller?
Yes. If the controller is outputting to a mechanical contactor or utilizing its internal relay, a very short Control Cycle Time ($T_c$) will cause premature mechanical failure. Go into the parameters and increase the Control Cycle Time (typically 15-20 seconds for mechanical relays). If you need rapid switching (e.g., 1-2 seconds), you must use a controller configuration with an SSR (Solid State Relay) voltage pulse output.
