The Festo SIEN-M5B-NS-K-L (catalog number 150368) is a sub-miniature M5 inductive proximity switch in the Festo SIEN family. It is a PNP normally-open sensor with a fixed cable tail ("L" = lead-out cable version), designed to detect the metal target on small grippers, miniature cylinders, pick-and-place heads and tight-clearance factory automation fixtures where a standard M8 / M12 sensor will not physically fit.

The SIEN series is the Festo standard for end-of-stroke sensing on small-bore pneumatic cylinders and for parts-present detection on small assembly cells. The M5 body fits into a 5 mm mounting hole and a 2.5 mm sensing range, which is the dimension the typical gripper finger or ejector pin sits in.
