Panasonic MBMK022BLN Servo Motor — MINAS A4/A5 200W Low-Inertia AC Servo (1PC Aftermarket Spare)
Panasonic · MINAS A4/A5 · 200W Class · Low Inertia · In stock · 1PC
The MBMK022BLN is a 200W-class low-inertia AC servo motor from the
Panasonic
MINAS A4 / A5 family, supplied as a single-piece (1PC) aftermarket spare for fast replacement on
production lines where downtime matters more than origin paperwork. Its keyway shaft and 17-bit
incremental encoder slot it in as a direct mechanical and electrical replacement for a failed
original unit in
MINAS A4
/
A5 series
axis assemblies. If you maintain a fleet that mixes
Allen-Bradley,
Siemens,
Mitsubishi,
Omron,
Fanuc,
Schneider,
Yaskawa
and
KEYENCE
controllers, KOEED can quote the MBMK022BLN and its matching drivers in the same BOM, dispatched
from a single multi-brand source.
1. Key Technical Specifications & Overview
The MBMK022BLN sits in the small-capacity end of the MINAS A4/A5 lineup — the 200V, low-inertia
class that typically drives feeders, small slides, scanners and indexing tables. It is the
aftermarket-spare variant of the OEM motor, sold as a 1PC drop-in for a single axis that has
failed in service. Below is the spec card KOEED quotes against; full datasheet is available on
request when you
send your BOM
to

2. Application Scenarios — Where the 200W MBMK022BLN Fits
The MBMK022BLN is sized for the small-axes end of a typical
factory automation
line. In practice we see it land in the following contexts, usually as a 1PC swap-out when an
existing 200V axis has failed and a same-day spare is needed:
-
SMT pick-and-place heads and feeders — small index axes, tape feeders, and
nozzle turrets on surface-mount lines that originally shipped with
Panasonic
or
Yaskawa
servos.
-
Semiconductor front-end and back-end tooling — wafer-handling slides, bonders,
die-bonders, and inspection indexers where low inertia and 17-bit feedback matter more than
absolute rated torque.
-
Small CNC bench machines and tool changers — ATC arms and small rotary
tables running on
Fanuc
/
Mitsubishi
controller-front-ends, paired with a
MBDDT2210
or
MFDDTB3A2
driver.
-
Lab automation and life-sciences instruments — pipette heads, plate handlers,
centrifuge rotors, and analyzer turrets where the original OEM quote is slow or unavailable.
-
Medical device manufacturing & packaging — blister-pack feeders, vial
cappers, syringe-assembly stations, and small
Omron-controlled
packaging cells.
-
Vision inspection conveyor and diverter axes — short-stroke slides
downstream of
KEYENCE
or
Siemens
vision stations.
-
End-of-line packaging & label applicators — label heads, wrap stations,
and small-track reject arms.
If your line mixes MINAS A4/A5 servos with motors from
Allen-Bradley
Kinetix or
Schneider
Lexium, KOEED can quote the full axis set in one BOM — motor, driver, cable, and connector
— so the same shipping window covers all brands.
3. Integration & Wiring Notes
Wiring a 200W-class MINAS A4/A5 motor is straightforward, but three details cause most
field-return tickets we see, so they are worth a careful pass before power-on:
-
Driver pairing. Use the 200V MBDDT2210 or MCDDT3110 (A4 family) or
MFDDTB3A2 (A5 family). The 100V versions are NOT drop-in replacements — matching the
bus voltage rating is mandatory.
-
Encoder cable & shielding. Use the Panasonic-recommended shielded encoder
cable, terminated at the driver end with the proper connector. Do NOT route the encoder cable
in the same conduit as the motor power leads; this is the most common source of intermittent
overcurrent / overheat faults on MINAS A4/A5 axes.
-
Power lead phasing (U / V / W). Phase rotation determines motor direction.
If the swap-in motor runs in the wrong direction, swap any two of U, V, W — do not
re-tune the controller to invert the command.
-
Brake option. If the original axis had an electromagnetic holding brake,
confirm the MBMK022BLN variant in your BOM has the brake option. The unbraked and braked
variants share a frame size but differ in cable exit and shaft length.
-
Grounding. Bond the motor body to the cabinet ground bus with a short,
dedicated pigtail. Encoder shield ground should land at the driver side only, not at the
motor side, to avoid ground loops.
If you are also replacing the matching driver, send the whole axis (motor + driver + cable) to
KOEED as one BOM line so we can pre-confirm connector pin-out and cable length before shipping.

4. Installation & Commissioning Tips
A 1PC aftermarket swap only takes 20–40 minutes if you follow the same commissioning recipe
the OEM recommends. These are the steps our technical team walks through on a typical
MBMK022BLN replacement:
-
Mechanical mount. Bolt the replacement to the existing bracket using the
same M-size fasteners. The keyway shaft keys directly into the existing coupling or pulley;
confirm the key is fully seated before tightening the shaft-end fastener.
-
Connector inspection. Inspect the power and encoder connectors for bent
pins, oxidation, or residual paste from the failed motor. Replace the connector if any pin
shows damage — it is cheaper than a second motor.
-
Parameter restore. In the MINAS setup software (PANATERM), restore the
axis parameters from the project backup. The 17-bit encoder auto-detects, so the new motor
will report correctly without re-zeroing the absolute home in most cases.
-
No-load jog test. Run a slow jog in both directions and listen for bearing
noise, watch for vibration, and verify the encoder counts match the commanded distance.
-
Tune with load. Re-run the auto-tune routine with the load attached
(gripper, slide, or rotary table). Avoid using a previously saved gain set from a
different motor — each unit, even of the same P/N, has its own resonance.
-
Run a full cycle. Take the axis through one full machine cycle and
monitor driver temperature and motor current under steady-state load before handing the
line back to production.
If you are migrating from an older
Allen-Bradley
1326 or
Siemens
1FK7 motor to the MBMK022BLN, the mechanical envelope is similar but the encoder protocol is
different — budget time for a controller-side mapping change in addition to the
mechanical swap.
5. Procurement, Warranty & Lead Time
The MBMK022BLN is stocked as a 1PC aftermarket spare (not a multi-pack). KOEED sources the
motor through its
China sourcing
network, and each unit is bench-checked for encoder count, insulation resistance and bearing
smoothness before dispatch. Typical flow:
-
RFQ turnaround. Quote within 24 hours on business days — send
your part list, the OEM P/N of the failed motor, and a one-line note on the machine to
Moritta@KOEED.COM.
-
Lead time. Single-piece aftermarket stock typically ships within 3–5
business days from Hong Kong or Shenzhen. Worldwide shipping via DHL / FedEx / UPS is
available to North America, Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and South America.
-
Warranty. 90-day limited warranty on aftermarket units, covering
encoder failure, winding open / short, and bearing seizure under rated load. The warranty
does not cover mechanical damage from incorrect mounting, contamination, or operation
outside the rated envelope.
-
Documentation. Each unit ships with a bench-test sheet (encoder counts,
insulation resistance, no-load current). Full Panasonic datasheet and CE / RoHS paperwork
available on request.
-
Multi-axis and mixed-brand BOMs. If the line also needs
MBDDT2210
drivers, encoder cables, or
Allen-Bradley
/
Mitsubishi
/
Siemens
spares for the same repair window, send them together so we can ship the whole kit in one
parcel.
