Installation & Commissioning Tips

Inspect before mount: compare the body diameter, rod diameter, pivot length and overall length against the data plate. A 60 mm bore or 16 mm rod will physically fit but mechanically drift — reject before commissioning.

Align before tightening: flange-mount (FHA) variants need the mating face flat within 0.05 mm; misalignment loads the rod bearing and causes premature seal wear. Use dowel pins on the flange bolt pattern.

Clean air / oil first: flush the supply line and pre-fill with the working medium; debris entering the cylinder is the most common cause of early seal failure.

Cushioning: check the cushion needle setting on both end caps; a too-fast final stroke into the spring-return (SP) end will hammer the end cap.

Cycle test: run 10–20 full strokes at low pressure before the line goes into production. Listen for hiss, watch for drift, and confirm end-of-stroke position feedback within the PLC scan.

Torque and lock: pivot-pin nuts use the manufacturer spec; apply thread-locker if the application vibrates. Re-torque after the first 50 hours.
