Atos CAE-24DC 1036W 24V DC 36W Solenoid Valve Coil
ATOS · Hydraulic Solenoid Coil · 24V DC · 36 W · In stock
The Atos CAE-24DC 1036W is a 24 V DC, 36 W industrial solenoid coil made by
Atos,
the Italian hydraulic and proportional-valve specialist whose line of brands sits inside the wider
Bosch Rexroth
family. The CAE form factor with the 1036W wiring variant is designed to sit on top of Atos DHZO, DKZOR, DPHI,
DKHI and DPZO proportional, directional and pressure-relief valve bodies — the same coil you will find on
injection-molding clamps, press lines, machine-tool axes, mobile hydraulics, steel-mill screw-downs and
marine power packs. KOEED keeps this CAE-24DC / 1036W configuration in our
hydraulic solenoid coil
shelf so maintenance teams can swap a burned coil in a single maintenance window.
Proportional hydraulic control only behaves as the datasheet promises when the coil, the driver amplifier
and the valve body are from the same family. That is why engineers sourcing a replacement
CAE-24DC 1036W coil usually come to us with the valve nameplate in hand — they want the
exact 24 V DC, 36 W, 1036W connector geometry matched to the existing Atos amplifier (E-MI-AC, E-BM-AC,
E-RI-AEB or the modern E-RI-TEB / E-RI-AES). If you are rebuilding a complete control loop alongside
Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Fanuc, Schneider, Yaskawa, Panasonic or KEYENCE PLC / motion
hardware, send the whole BOM to
Moritta@KOEED.COM
and we will quote availability, lead time and pricing for the full kit in one reply.

Application Scenarios — Where the CAE-24DC 1036W Fits
The Atos CAE-24DC 1036W coil shows up wherever a 24 V DC cabinet needs to command a proportional or
on-off hydraulic valve. The most common landing zones our customers report are:
-
Injection-molding machines — clamp tonnage, injection velocity and mold protection
rely on Atos DHZO / DKZOR proportional valves driven by CAE-24DC coils, often sequenced by a
Mitsubishi MELSEC
or
Omron SYSMAC
PLC.
-
Hydraulic presses & forging lines — pressure and position loops on metal-forming
presses use DPZO pressure-control valves with a CAE coil for closed-loop force control, often paired with
a
Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500
controller and SINAMICS drive.
-
Machine-tool axes & CNC chucks — turret indexing, tailstock and chuck pressure
circuits on lathes and machining centers. Many builders combine
Fanuc
CNCs with Atos hydraulic logic.
-
Steel-mill screw-downs and roll-bending — high-duty proportional pressure valves with
Class-H insulation survive the cabinet heat of continuous mill operation.
-
Mobile hydraulics & marine power packs — deck cranes, hatch covers, steering and
trim systems, where the IP65 / IP67 sealing of the 1036W connector is essential.
-
Press-shop feeders and transfer lines — coordinated by
Allen-Bradley ControlLogix
or CompactLogix PLCs that supervise both the motion axis and the hydraulic clamp.
-
Test rigs & hydrostatic benches — closed-loop pressure and flow test stands
using DPHI proportional throttling valves, where repeatable CAE-24DC coil performance is critical for
calibration accuracy.
-
Energy and process plants — valve-positioning loops integrated with
Schneider Modicon
or
Yaskawa MP
controllers, often alongside Yaskawa Σ-7 / Σ-V servo axes.
-
Vision-guided assembly cells —
KEYENCE CV / XG vision
inspects the part while a
Panasonic FP7
PLC fires the Atos hydraulic reject diverter through a CAE coil.
If you are sizing a new proportional circuit rather than replacing a burned coil, the same Atos DHZO /
DKZOR / DPZO valve bodies can be paired with E-RI-TEB or E-RI-AES fieldbus drivers, which expose
setpoint, dither and ramp parameters over EtherCAT, Profinet or CANopen. Browse our
hydraulic solenoid coil
catalog for the full CAE family (12 V DC, 24 V DC, 110 V AC, 220 V AC) or our
industrial valve coil
shelf for 24 V DC coils in the same 30–40 W class.
Integration & Wiring Notes
The CAE-24DC / 1036W coil is the actuator half of a proportional valve loop. The
amplifier half — usually an Atos E-MI-AC analog card, E-BM-AC board, E-RI-AEB
embedded driver or one of the modern E-RI-TEB / E-RI-AES fieldbus units — reads a setpoint from your
PLC or motion controller and chops the 24 V DC supply to drive the coil with a current-regulated PWM
waveform. The dither, ramp and offset parameters are tuned at the amplifier; the coil itself must simply
receive the right average current at 36 W without saturating.
|
Power supply
|
24 V DC regulated, sized for ≥ 1.5 × coil current (inrush margin) and
amplifier PWM ripple
|
|
Polarity
|
Observe the + / − marking on the coil and the amplifier terminal — reversed polarity on
a CAE coil will not energize the valve, and prolonged reverse drive can overheat the winding
|
|
Connector / lead
|
1036W option — confirm the lead exit (axial / radial) and the pinout against the amplifier
datasheet before energizing
|
|
Setpoint scaling
|
±10 V or 4–20 mA from the motion controller; on E-RI-TEB / E-RI-AES units the setpoint
is delivered digitally over EtherCAT, Profinet or CANopen
|
|
Enable / shutdown input
|
Wire the amplifier enable from a safety relay or PLC safety output; never hard-drive the coil while
the amplifier is unpowered
|
|
Grounding
|
Bond the valve body and the cabinet back-plate to a single low-impedance earth; on proportional
loops, poor grounding shows up as valve dither noise and unstable position
|
If you are stepping down from an older Atos E-MI-AC analog amplifier to an E-RI-TEB fieldbus unit, the
coil itself does not change — only the driver card and the setpoint wiring do. KOEED stocks the
matching amplifier cards and pre-terminated cables alongside the coil so the swap can be done in a
single maintenance window. Browse the related
proportional valve amplifier
category, or send the full valve nameplate to
Moritta@KOEED.COM
and our sourcing team will pre-validate the wiring option.
Installation & Commissioning Tips
-
De-energize and depressurize before coil swap. Lock out the cabinet, drop the hydraulic
supply to zero, and confirm the valve is in a safe mechanical state. The CAE coil is a serviceable
item, but the valve body is not — you want zero residual pressure when you unthread the coil nut.
-
Inspect the mating face and the O-ring. Worn or pinched O-rings on the coil tube are
the most common cause of an IP-rating loss after a swap. Replace the O-ring if it shows compression
set, and lightly grease it with hydraulic-system-compatible lubricant.
-
Torque the coil nut to the Atos-specified value. Over-tightening distorts the tube and
causes the coil to seize on the next service; under-tightening lets the coil vibrate and chatter, which
is what kills the winding long before the rated insulation class does.
-
Verify the part number on the coil label. Atos CAE, CAD, CAE-B, KAE and similar
designations look similar at a glance but use different connector geometries. Confirm
CAE-24DC / 1036W is on the label before you apply 24 V DC.
-
Re-tune dither and ramp after a coil change. A new coil can shift the valve’s
no-signal null point by a small amount. Re-run the amplifier’s auto-tuning routine, or re-zero
the offset / dither manually, before resuming production.
-
Log the swap. Record the coil serial, the date, the machine hour reading, and the
amplifier firmware version. This makes warranty claims and future root-cause analysis
(chatter, overheating, contamination) much easier when the next coil fails.
-
Keep a spare on the shelf. For press lines and injection-molding cells running
24/7, KOEED recommends holding at least one spare CAE-24DC 1036W coil per machine per shift. Quote
spares alongside the unit on the same RFQ.
Engineers who need a refresher on proportional-valve commissioning curves, dither frequency and PWM
dead-band can run through the

on the KOEED site — upload a photo of the valve nameplate and the assistant will return the
matching coil part number, the recommended amplifier card and the wiring option. For broader loop
questions (setpoint scaling, PLC PID tuning, motion-profile blending) the
