4. Inspect the cable and connector while the pendant is open. A yellowed shell usually means the cable has been flexed past its rated life — if you see shield fatigue or kinks near the strain relief, add the replacement pendant cable to the same RFQ so it ships in one lot.
5. Re-torque screws to OEM spec in a cross pattern (not in a row) to avoid warping the front cover and trapping the keypad membrane. Over-tightening is the most common cause of a replacement housing cracking within the first month.
