Oil Filter Element 1641005035 — Screw Compressor Oil Filter
Oil-Injected Screw Air Compressor · Spin-On / Cartridge Element · Quote within 24h
The 1641005035 (also written 1641-005-035) is a screw-compressor oil filter element
used in oil-injected rotary screw air compressors. The same P/N format is widely associated with
Atlas Copco GA / GX / QR / SF / QD series service parts, and is also sold as a cross-reference
replacement element on Ingersoll-Rand, Sullair, Compair and Kaeser machines. KOEED sources oil filter
elements for these compressor platforms alongside our core industrial-automation lines from
Allen-Bradley,
Siemens,
Mitsubishi,
Omron,
Fanuc,
Schneider,
Yaskawa,
Panasonic and
KEYENCE,
so a single RFQ can ride together with the rest of your maintenance BOM.
1. Key Technical Specifications
Most-likely application: oil-injected screw compressor oil filter element, spin-on or cartridge format.
Specifications below reflect the typical datasheet envelope for elements sharing the 1641005035 / 1641-005-035
P/N format on 7.5 – 75 kW oil-injected rotary screw compressors. Because the same number is used across
Atlas Copco service kits and several third-party filter brands, the values listed are envelope
figures — please confirm against your existing element before ordering.

AMBIGUOUS P/N NOTE: 1641005035 is most commonly listed as an Atlas Copco oil filter element, but the
same 10-digit format is reused by Ingersoll-Rand service kits and by independent filter manufacturers
(Beko, Donaldson, MANN) as a cross-reference. Always cross-check your existing element's outer diameter,
thread, and gasket before ordering — see Section 5 for the photo / measurement request.
2. Application Scenarios / Where It Fits
Oil-injected screw air compressors are the workhorse of factory compressed-air systems, which in turn
feed virtually every modern production line. The 1641005035 oil filter element is therefore the first
line of defense for keeping lubricating oil clean — which keeps the screw bearings, gearbox and
oil-injected airend alive. It shows up in:
-
Manufacturing & assembly plants — plant-wide compressed-air ring feeding
Allen-Bradley
ControlLogix-controlled pneumatic valves and
Siemens
SIMATIC S7-300 / S7-1500 actuator clusters.
-
Automotive body-in-white & paint shops — oil-free air for robotic weld guns
and paint robots driven by
Fanuc and
Yaskawa servo amplifiers.
-
CNC machine tools — cutting-fluid air, chip blow-off and tool-change pneumatics
on lathes / machining centers often controlled by Mitsubishi MELSEC or
Mitsubishi GOT HMI.
-
Electronics & SMT lines — pick-and-place pneumatics and
KEYENCE vision-system
air-knives on PCB assembly.
-
Food & beverage / pharma packaging — compressed air for bottle blowing,
conveying, and clean-room packaging lines wired with
Omron SYSMAC or
Schneider Modicon.
-
Sandblasting, shot-blasting & surface treatment — high-dust duty cycles
that shorten oil-filter life and make scheduled replacement critical.
-
Plant compressed-air rooms & utility skids — standby compressors on
Schneider Altivar / soft-starter panels and
Panasonic FP-series
PLCs that orchestrate load / unload sequencing.

(typically Mitsubishi or Siemens for OEM panels) when you send your BOM.
3. Integration & Piping Notes
The 1641005035 is a passive filter element — it has no electrical wiring, no fieldbus address, and no
PLC tag. Its "integration" with the rest of your plant is mechanical and hydraulic:
-
Housing / sump compatibility. Verify the spin-on thread, gasket OD, and element height
against the existing housing on your airend. Atlas Copco SF / QD series and several third-party elements
share the 1641005035 print but use slightly different gasket profiles.
-
Oil-side differential pressure. Wire the compressor's existing ΔP switch (or
a KOEED AI Diagnostic
review of the controller tag) so an alarm fires at 1.0 bar ΔP across this element —
most OEMs already include a sensor on the oil manifold.
-
Pressure transducer & PLC tag mapping. If your compressor's ΔP sensor is
read into a Mitsubishi or Siemens PLC, use the
PLC Analog Calculator
to convert the 4 – 20 mA loop into a bar reading for trending.
-
Service loop pairing. Most users pair the oil filter change with the oil separator
(air / oil separator element) and the inlet air filter — send all three as one BOM line.
-
Cross-reference P/Ns to keep on the shelf. Atlas Copco 1641005035 is commonly replaced
by Donaldson P171505, Beko 3002304, or MANN W 940/5 in aftermarket programs — exact equivalence
depends on your airend model.
4. Installation & Commissioning Tips
A 15-minute change-out, but one that goes wrong in a hurry if basic hygiene is missed.
-
Depressurize & lock-out. Bring the compressor to stopped, vent the air / oil
receiver, and isolate per your plant's LOTO procedure. The compressor's PLC (often
Allen-Bradley
MicroLogix or CompactLogix) should also show "Safe to Maintain" before the housing is opened.
-
Drain residual oil. Place a pan under the spin-on seat; expect 0.5 – 2 L of
warm oil on first crack.
-
Seat the new gasket dry. Lightly oil the new element's gasket with clean compressor
oil before threading on. Hand-tighten until the gasket contacts the housing, then follow the OEM torque
(usually 18 – 22 N·m) — do not over-torque, you will distort the gasket.
-
Prime and run unloaded. Most modern controllers run the compressor in load / unload
for 3 – 5 minutes after a filter change. Watch for leaks at the gasket face and confirm the
ΔP returns to < 0.3 bar.
-
Log the change in the controller's maintenance tag. Reset the filter-life hour
counter on the HMI (Mitsubishi GOT, Siemens TP / Comfort Panel, or
Omron NB / NS).
Use the
PLC Error Code Database
if a fault appears on restart.
-
First 50-hour check. Re-torque the element and re-inspect the gasket. Some elements
bed in and need a follow-up torque after the first heat cycle.
If the controller logs a recurring "oil filter high ΔP" alarm even after a fresh element, the
upstream air filter is probably the real culprit — send a photo of the airend nameplate to
Moritta@KOEED.COM and we
will cross-check.
