Embraco VEGY-7H BLDC Inverter Refrigeration Compressor — 1PC
Embraco · VEGY Series · BLDC Inverter · R-600a / R-290 · In stock
The Embraco VEGY-7H (cross reference VEGY7H) is a hermetic
BLDC variable-speed refrigeration compressor
originally engineered by Embraco (now part of
Nidec Global Appliance)
for the next generation of low-GWP, energy-efficient commercial and domestic cooling equipment.
It is widely deployed as a drop-in replacement in display refrigerators, medical-grade cold
storage, ice machines, wine coolers, and small cold rooms where quiet operation, soft start,
and natural refrigerant compatibility matter more than raw horsepower.
KOEED sources the VEGY-7H as a new, factory-sealed unit for OEMs, system integrators, and
maintenance teams that need an authentic Embraco compressor for new builds, retrofits, and
EOL replacement. Quote requests are reviewed within 24 hours by sending your part list to

Application Scenarios — Where It Fits
The VEGY-7H is designed for low-back-pressure, low-to-medium capacity refrigeration loads.
Its inverter drive makes it a good fit for duty cycles that demand tight temperature
control, soft start, and energy savings over fixed-speed reciprocating or rotary
compressors. It is commonly integrated into:
- Domestic and commercial refrigerators with R-600a / R-290 evaporators
- Upright and chest freezers, including dual-zone and frost-free cabinets
- Supermarket island freezers and multideck display cases (refrigerated retail)
- Undercounter ice makers, nugget / flake machines, and clear-ice units
- Wine coolers, beverage centres, and small cold-rooms for foodservice
- Medical and laboratory refrigeration (vaccine storage, blood-bank fridges)
- Pharmacy-grade cooling where compressor noise must stay under strict dB limits
-
Factory-automation test chambers and laboratory cooling loops
- Replacement duty for EOL Embraco VEGY and compatible Nidec inverter platforms
Engineers who already standardise on
Allen-Bradley
or Siemens
controllers for the line-side PLC often pair the VEGY-7H with a
Mitsubishi
or Omron
HMI for the cabinet front, and route supervisory data through a
Schneider
or Yaskawa
drive when the refrigeration skid sits inside a larger automation cell.
Integration & Wiring Notes
The VEGY-7H ships with an integrated inverter board, so wiring is simpler than a legacy
RSIR / RSCR refrigeration compressor. The three things to plan before installation are
power, control, and refrigerant-side connections.
-
Power input: feed 90–264 VAC (or 110 / 220 V DC bus, drive-variant dependent) on the dedicated compressor harness — do not share a circuit with inductive loads such as Panasonic FP-series PLC outputs or contactor coils.
-
Speed / demand signal: connect the host controller’s 0–10 V or PWM speed-reference output to the compressor driver; the integrated electronics will ramp RPM smoothly to the requested setpoint.
-
Feedback & diagnostics: route the BLDC tach / fault output back to the line controller for alarm handling; on KEYENCE vision or Fanuc supervisory HMIs this is usually displayed as a runtime RPM tag.
-
Ground & shielding: tie the compressor body to chassis ground; keep the low-voltage control harness separated from mains wiring by at least 50 mm to avoid EMI on the speed-reference line.
-
Process connections: the suction and discharge tubes are factory-prepared for solder or flare — braze under nitrogen purge to prevent internal scale, and use a copper-to-copper joint on the high side.
-
Refrigerant charge: charge by weight per the appliance data plate (R-600a ~ 30–60 g range, R-290 similar) and verify with a calibrated scale; undercharging starves the evaporator, overcharging raises head pressure.
If you need a controller-side wiring diagram or want to validate the speed-reference scaling
against your existing PLC project, KOEED can route your BOM to
Moritta@KOEED.COM
together with any related items (controller, HMI, cable gland, line filter) so the whole
skid ships in one consignment from the same China Sourcing Company channel.
Installation & Commissioning Tips
-
Mounting orientation: fit the cradle on rubber grommets to decouple vibration from the cabinet; uneven torque on the hold-down bolts is a common cause of low-frequency hum.
-
Brazing & evacuation: purge with dry nitrogen during brazing, then pull a deep vacuum (500 microns or better) before charging — moisture is the #1 killer of BLDC motor windings.
-
First-power commissioning: run the compressor in ramp-up mode for the first 5–10 minutes to seat the bearings, listen for metallic contact, and confirm stable RPM on the diagnostic feedback.
-
Capacitor & filter check: unlike fixed-speed compressors, no start or run capacitor is required — but an EMI line filter on the mains feed reduces conducted noise into adjacent PLC / HMI cabinets.
-
Thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) or capillary: match the expansion device to the rated capacity; an oversized TXV will starve the evaporator, while an undersized one will flood the compressor on pull-down.
-
Leak check & safety: R-290 is A3 flammable — charge in a well-ventilated area, follow IEC 60335-2-24 for charge limits per room volume, and never energise the unit before leak-test passes.
-
Runtime monitoring: log suction and discharge pressures, supply current, and RPM for the first 24 hours; trend them on your existing HMI (e.g. Omron NB / NS series) for early-warning of charge drift.
For projects where the VEGY-7H sits inside a CNC coolant chiller, an inverter drive
retrofit, or a custom automation cell, KOEED can also supply the matching
Allen-Bradley,
Siemens,
Mitsubishi,
Fanuc,
Yaskawa,
KEYENCE,
or Schneider
control hardware so the compressor and the rest of the control panel ship together.
